The Northumberland Jacks U11 Select are bringing home the hardware after an outstanding weekend at the St. Marys Tournament, held in the hometown of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
The Jacks battled through five hard-fought games over the three-day tournament, showcasing determination, teamwork, and exceptional baseball on both sides of the ball.
A tournament highlight came in the semifinal matchup against East Mountain, where pitcher Lukas Lorenz threw a dominant shutout performance to send the Jacks to the championship game.
In the final, the Jacks faced a strong West Hill squad but came out swinging. Their bats stayed hot while the defence played a solid game behind them, leading to an impressive 11-3 victory to claim the OBA House League Select Championship.
Several players delivered outstanding performances throughout the weekend. Tournament MVP honours went to Ethan Jackson, Lukas Lorenz, Eddie Moloney, and Noah Fuller, whose leadership and consistent play helped power the team to victory.

The championship was a true team effort, with every player contributing through timely hitting, outstanding defence, and relentless hustle from the first pitch to the final out.
The team was expertly guided by coaches Kelsey Fuller and Jeff Scott, whose strategic offensive and defensive lineups kept the Jacks competing at a high level throughout the tournament and positioned the team for success every step of the way.

The Jacks return to action with a doubleheader against the Whitby U11 Select in Baltimore, Ontario, on Saturday, July 18, as they look to continue their winning momentum.
